Australian Club Cricketer Josh Dunstan Hammers Triple Century in a 35-Overs Match
New Delhi: He may only be a Grade B club cricketer in Australia but Josh Dunstan is now making headlines in the cricket world as he smashed a triple century in a 35 overs-a-side match. His explosive knock consisted of 40 sixes. Playing a match in South Australia, Dunstan hammered 307 for West Augusta against Central Stirling. What was astonishing was that his team’s total was only 354, making his contribution a whopping 86.7 per cent.
The West Augusta Cricket Club took to Facebook, posting Dunstan’s picture and captioned it, “Every now and then we get to witness something special. Josh Dunstan smacked 307 runs off 30 overs today including 40 sixes. Another club record smashed! Very well done Dunny! WACC forever.”
It will be a memorable innings for the club hero who never even scored a double ton before. His previous best was 189.
Talking on his knock and the upcoming Ashes, he was quoted to be saying by Foxports.com.au, “I’m still in a little bit of shock that I got to 300 to be honest. The phone’s been going off non-stop. Yeah, I’d put my hand up for No.6 but I doubt I’ll be walking out at the Gabba.”
