15 Feb 2021: Aubameyang's hat-trick helps Arsenal outclass Leeds 4-2: Records broken

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his first Premier League hat-trick, powering his side to a 4-2 win against Leeds United at the Emirates on Sunday.

Hector Bellerin also scored his first goal since January 2020 to bring the total to four, however, Leeds claimed back two second-half goals through Pascal Struijk and Helder Costa.

Here are the records broken.

Aubameyang: Aubameyang scripts these feats

As per Opta, Aubameyang is one of only three players to score a hat-trick in three of the top five European leagues, along with Alexis Sanchez and Salomon Kalou, since the start of the 2009/10 season.

He has now scored 200 goals in Europe's top five leagues. Since the 2009/10 season, he is the ninth player to reach 200 goals across the five leagues.

Fact: Leeds have scored and conceded 40+ goals this season

Leeds have both scored and conceded 40+ goals (40 and 42) in just 23 Premier League games this season. Only Tottenham Hotspur (in 2007/08) struck 40 goals for and against after fewer matches in the competition's history (22 games).
