Bhopal: Sadhvi Pragya, an accused in the 2008 Malegaon blasts case, here on Thursday called herself a âvictim of a Congress conspiracyâ and thanked the present government for âensuring justiceâ.
She was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on Tuesday in the case. She was released from judicial custody after the bail formalities were completed on Thursday afternoon.
[blurb]Talking to media, she said that the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) tortured her mentally and physically and she was only alive due to her will power. Anyone else would not have survived the torture, she said.[/blurb]
Lashing at the Congress, Bharti said that âsaffron terrorismâ was a phrase coined by the Congress party. She also accused Congress of misleading media against her. âNow I have nothing against anyone,â she said.
Sadhvi Pragya said that she was thankful to the court which granted her bail. âI am half-free now as I wonât be a free person until the case is underway.â
Thanking the present government for bringing her justice, Bharti alleged that she was not allowed to express herself in last nine years.
Sadhvi Pragya has been in Bhopal for the last couple of years, under custody. She has been admitted to Pt Khushilal Sharma Ayurvedic College in Bhopal and was under treatment for breast cancer.
Six people were killed and 100 people were injured in the blast. Twelve alleged âHindu radicalsâ including Sadhvi Pragya and Lt Col Prasad Purohit were accused of masterminding the blast. Purohit was denied bail by the HC.
Sadhvi Pragya was chargesheeted by the NIA as a two-wheeler registered on her name was used for triggering the blast.
