Diphu (Assam), July 17 (ANI): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on July 17 attended 'Seized Drugs Disposal’. The program is part of 'Drugs Mukta Assam' .During the program, 11.88 kg Morphine, 2.89 kg Crystal Meth, 3.47 kg Heroin, 102.91 kg Cannabis & 2, 03,384 tablets were destroyed. The program was organized as per Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPC) Act 1985 in Karbi Anglong with due clearance from the state pollution control board.“We want to send a strong message to the people of Assam that Assam police is going to adopt a zero-tolerance policy. We are going to cut both supply and consumption of drugs in Assam as well as with the rest of India,” said CM Himanta.
