Assam: AIUDF’s Badruddin Ajmal alleges 'threat to mosques'; BJP sounds waring to voters

Ahead of the State Assembly Elections in Assam, a case of open polarization of votes is coming to light with an all-out Ram versus Babar fight raging on. AIUDF’s Badruddin Ajmal stoked a controversy after he said that the ruling BJP is going to demolish over 3500 mosques in the country if they return to power in 2024.
Countering the remarks, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that ‘Can Congress and Ajmal keep Assam free from infiltrators? If they come to power, they will open all gates to welcome them because they are their vote bank’.
