New Delhi, April 8: Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal today held a press conference after the Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal cancelled the land allotted to the party for last three years and used by the AAP as its headquarter. Lashing out at the decision, Arvind Kejriwal said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which won just three seats in Delhi Legislative Assembly election have an office in Delhi but the party (AAP) which won with clear majority doesn’t have one in the capital city.

“In Delhi, BJP, which won three of out of 70 seats, RSS, ABVP, VHP have been allotted offices but the party which won 67 of 70 seats doesn’t have an office,” said Kejriwal. Listing out his achievements and slamming BJP, Kejriwal said, “The Aam Aadmi Party made medicines for the residents of Delhi and now the medicine mafia won’t sit patiently. We challenged the tanker mafia, electricity departments and education mafia, this is why AAP is being discriminated against.”

He also said that the moment the land allotted was cancelled by Baijal, he received hundreds of messages and calls with people offering the party their houses and shops to carry on the work. “The rates of electricity in Delhi were slashed, water was distributed without any cost; we removed the tanker mafia from Delhi. They obviously will not sit quietly,” he said.

“We announced that there will be no residential house tax if the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is voted to power in the MCD Elections 2017, and end the corruption in BJP-led three municipal corporations in Delhi, this has made BJP furious. Every day the party is blaming us of baseless accusations,” said Kejriwal.

Accusing BJP of snatching their office in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal said that the saffron party wants to close down the Aam Aadmi Party. “They want to eradicate the sign of the party of Aam Aadmi (Common Man). But this will not happen because God is with us. We walk on the path of truth and we have never done anything wrong. we fight for the people of Delhi,” he said.

“I assure the people of Delhi that even if they snatch everything from us, we will work for the people even from the streets. We will fight till the last minute to get the people justice,” Kejriwal added.

On being asked about their new office, Kejriwal said that they haven’t been offered any new office. “It is a state recognised party. We have a right to get an office. This is wrong and is against law. We will ask for it but it is on them if they give one or not,” he added.
