Army Chief M Naravane visited areas on the Pangong lake amid standoff with China

Army chief M Naravane visited areas on the southern bank of Pangong lake and reviewed the situation at 8:30 this morning. In the freezing conditions, the chief went to look for accommodation for the Indian troops.

The morale of the soldiers shoots up as he reviews their living conditions making sure they have the optimum belongings needed to survive in this desperately cold weather. While the Chinese troops stay stationed just a few yards away, this serves as a major boost for the forces as the chief decides that he must meet his troops and assess their situation.
