Another twist to Jayalalithaa death mystery: Sasikala's relative threatens to release hospital clips

In a Facebook post, Sasikala Natarajan's nephew, Jeyanandh Dhivakaran, has threatened to release video clips shot during J Jayalalithaa's last days in a Chennai hospital.

In an explosive post on Facebook, Sasikala Natarajan's nephew Jeyanandh Dhivakaran has threatened to reveal clips from the last days of J Jayalalithaa in a Chennai hospital to show the kind of relationship Amma and Chinnamma (Jayalalithaa and Sasikala respectively as they are popularly known within the AIADMK) shared.

The Facebook post is aimed at blunting the attack of Sasikala's current rival and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam's camp, which had alleged Jayalalithaa was murdered by the Sasikala family to control the AIADMK after Amma's death in December last year.

Jayalalithaa died on December 5 after prolonged hospitalisation at Chennai's Apollo Hospital, and a faction of party members have questioned the circumstances around her death.

The post by Jeyanandh on his Facebook page says: "Even after been coined as a murderer, Amma's pic was not revealed by Sasikala as her enemies should not see her clad in a green gown. Chinnamma took this decision. We kept her as a mighty lion until her death and bid adieu. But OPS, just to garner votes, placed her in a coffin and paraded her."

The post further says: "Truth is strong and what if the videos of Amma's and Chinnamma's conversations surface one day? What should we do to PH Pandian and Manoj K Pandian?"

The Pandian brothers belong to Team OPS and were the first to bring out the murder allegations. In high drama that followed Jayalalithaa's demise, OPS sat on a meditation at Marina Beach's Jaya Memorial.

The crisis within the AIADMK has since escalated to the extent that the OPS camp has put the removal of Sasikala's family from the AIADMK as a condition for the merger of the two factions.

The AIADMK split into two after Jayalalithaa's death -- one faction is led by Sasikala and the other by Panneerselvam. Majority of the legislators had lined behind Sasikala and her nominee E Palaniswami was elected as the Chief Minister.
