New Delhi, March 7: Aadhaar card is increasingly becoming necessary to avail all the government’s schemes. Having an Aadhaar card is mandatory to use a mobile phone card. It also helps in filing income tax returns and even for applying a driving license. Hence, it is very important to have correct address on Aadhaar card. If anything needs to be updated, the UIDAI has made it very easy to log on the website and updates.
Basically, there are six steps by which you can change the address of your Aadhaar card. First log on to website https://uidai.gov.in/ and click on Address Update Request. Click on the Proceed after reading the instructions.
Enter your Aadhaar phone number and text verification code to receive the one time password on the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP on the next page.
Choose whether you want to change the address by area pine code of by address.
Fill in the details in the text field and click on submit button.
Provide address proof of your correct address. ID proofs include voter id, passport, telephone bill etc.
Select your BPO service provider and click on the submit button.
