Amid growing concern related to a surge in the COVID-19 cases in the state of Maharashtra and particularly in Mumbai, the top sources in the Maharashtra government have denied that there will be a lockdown in the city of Mumbai. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had asked the officials in the administration to make a plan if a lockdown has to be imposed in the state because of the maximum cases being reported from the state of Maharashtra.
