Alia Bhatt on link-up with Ranbir Kapoor: The truth never bothers me
The media has been speculating about the relationship between Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt for a while now. If the grapevine is to be believed, love blossomed between the two on the sets of Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, and they have been going strong ever since.
When Alia was asked about her link-up with Ranbir, she told a leading daily, "The truth never bothers me. At the same time, even lies don't affect me because if it's not true, I don't care. Link-up rumours don't affect my relationships with people. We have gotten used to it because it is a part and parcel of being in the business and limelight. Everyone has things to say and you can't get affected by them."
Meanwhile, Ranbir recently told India Today Television that he does not want his relationship with Alia to turn into a media circus. "I think when we speak more, we are often misunderstood by the media. I don't want to turn this into a circus. Whatever I wanted to say, I have. Now, I don't want to comment on it anymore," he said.
Rumours have been doing the rounds that Ranbir and Alia are quite serious about each other and are planning to tie the knot in 2020. Alia has been bonding with the Kapoor family. Ranbir's mother Neetu Kapoor has already warmed up to Alia, and the two have been showing some serious social media love for each other. Ranbir's sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni is also fond of Alia, and recently sent her a customised emerald bracelet.
Earlier this month, Alia was spotted dining with the Kapoor family and, much to the delight of the paparazzi, walked out of the restaurant holding Ranbir's niece Samara's hand.
On Wednesday, Ranbir and Alia were clicked at Rishi Kapoor's residence. Joining them was Sanjay Dutt, who came to meet the Kapoors, days before the release of Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju.
