Akshay Kumar’s Brother-In-Law Karan Kapadia To Make His Bollywood Debut

Akshay Kumar‘s brother-in-law, Karan Kapadia is all set to make his Bollywood debut. Who is Karan Kapadiya, you ask? Well, he is Twinkle Khanna‘s cousin brother and Dimple Kapadia‘s late sister- Simple’s son.The buzz doing the rounds is that Karan will be seen making his Bollywood debut in a film produced by Azhar’s director, Tony D’Souza. Reports indicate that he has already begun giving auditions.

Midday recently carried a report that quoted Karan as saying, “I have gone out there for auditions, I have been rejected and been told already by a few people that they don’t see any spark in me. However, most said that I do have potential. So, it’s good that I have been exposed to rejection early in my career.” Karan further added that he doesn’t wish to take any family connections to get his Bollywood career running. “When you come from the kind of family that I do, you obviously have access to certain people that you wouldn’t have otherwise. But, I do as much as I can on my own,” he told the tabloid.

On the other hand, Tony confirmed the news stating that he will be launching Karan, but added that he will do so only once he is doing with his ongoing directorial venture, Captain Nawab. Although he will be making his Bollywood debut with Tony, this won’t his first brush with the world of films. His first job in Bollywood was reportedly that of an assistant director to Rahul Dholakia on his film Society , which unfortunately never released. He was just 16 at that time when he assisted Rahul on his film. Apparently, his aunt, Dimple Kapadia, was to feature in the film, and it was she who had suggested Karan’s name for the job.
