Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who recently returned from Cannes celebrated her mom Vrinda Rai’s birthday recently. Aishwarya and her brother decided to keep the celebrations low key for they invited only few close relatives for the do. The reason it was kept very private is because of Aishwarya’s father Krishnaraj Rai, who passed away very recently after a prolonged illness. A photograph from the birthday celebrations that has surfaced on social media shows Vrinda smiling in the company of her children and grandchildren. Like every year, Aishwarya walked the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival this time too. And needless to say, she slayed it without even trying. Daughter Aaradhya also accompanied mommy to the French city. For her first red carpet appearance at the coveted film fest, the actress wore a powder blue Michael Cinco gown, and she was nothing short of a vision. On her second day, Aishwarya slipped into a red Ralph & Russo ensemble, and showed us how to perfectly carry a red outfit on a red carpet. After returning to Mumbai, Aishwarya along with father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and hubby Abhishek Bachchan attended the grand premiere of Sachin Tendulkar’s docudrama titled Sachin: A Billion Dreams. She was always seen partying and posing for selfies at Karan Johar’s birthday bash that was held last to last night at the filmmaker’s residence. A galaxy of other Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and more attended the party that went on till wee hours.
On work front, Aishwarya was last seen in KJo’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil that also starred Ranbir and Anushka Sharma. Word has it that Aishwarya will next be seen in Mani Ratnam’s next. However there is no official confirmation from the director or from the actress on the same.
