The Airtel - Jio rivalry is becoming more and more intense. In a bid to counter Jio's new 'Dhan Dhana Dhan' offer, Airtel has announced a new 'Double Your Holiday Surprises' offer. The new offer basically gives 10GB free data for one more month on top of the three months the company had promised via the 'Surprise' offer a few weeks ago.
The original offer gave postpaid users 10GB of free data for three months. The new offer basically gives users the chance to get 10GB of free data for an additional billing cycle.
Airtel has also increased the validity of the 'Surprise' offer by one more month. Earlier, the offer had to be claimed before March 31. Now the deadline has been extended to April 30. Users who have still not availed the offer can do so by going go to the My Airtel App.
Airtel, in a press statement said - "This double holiday surprise is our way of saying thank you for being part of the Airtel family. We are always striving to enrich the lives of our customers who have trusted us and believed in us over the years,"
In addition to the offer, Airtel is now also promising "the best international roaming rates" to its users. Now, even if a customer forgets to activate a roaming pack before they go out of India, the company will automatically activate the required pack after the customer's data usage crosses the price of the plan.
For example, if a daily pack for a certain country costs Rs 999, Airtel will automatically activate the plan after the user's data usage surpasses Rs 999. If a user uses less data, he/she will be charged according to the applicable rates.
This offer for postpaid customers comes hot on the heels of Airtel's new Rs 399 pack which gives prepaid users unlimited local and STD calls plus 1GB of 4G data a day for 70 days.
