Air India pilots union threatens to stop work if not vaccinated on priority

Air India’s pilots union, ICPA has threatened the organization to stop work if they will not be vaccinated on priority by the company (Air India). They said that they will stop work if their company does not arrange vaccination camps for all flying crew above the age of 18 years on priority. ICPA on Monday wrote a letter to the Minister of State for Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri seeking restoration of their pre-COVID-19 monthly pay. ICPA has said its members continue to be "punished with the harshest and longest-standing pay cuts in the domestic market". In the letter, the pilot union also spoke about their concern over the increasing frequency of the Vande Bharat Mission flights, which has, in turn, increased their workload and the consequent risk of getting "infected/disabled".
