AIADMK symbol row: After arresting middleman, Delhi Police asks Dinakaran to join probe

The Delhi Police officials also claimed that they have evidence in the form of phone conversation recordings between Dinakaran and Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

Delhi Police crime branch today said that they are scheduled to leave for Chennai tomorrow to meet TTV Dinakaran and ask him to join probe.

Crime branch officials claimed that Sukesh Chandrashekhar admitted that it was a Rs 50 crore deal between TTV Dinakaran and him for the two-leaf AIADMK symbol.

Police said that Rs 10 crore have been delivered to Sukesh over the last two months. This time the police recovered Rs 1.30 crores from Sukesh's hotel room in Delhi.

Sukesh was picked up from Delhi on Monday morning and an FIR has been lodged against him.

AIADMK's general secretary TTV Dinakaran's name is also mentioned in the FIR.

Police officials also claimed that they had evidence in the form of phone conversation recordings between Dinakaran and Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

Officials have also identified the money trail. The money they claim was transferred from Chennai to Kochi.

From Kochi, through hawala traders the money was directed to Chandni Chowk in Delhi and then handed over to Sukesh.

Rs 1.3 crore was recovered in cash and the police also seized two luxury sedans - a white Mercedes S350 and a black BMW 730LD.

The Mercedes held a Member of Parliament sticker on the number plate. Charges under section 8 of the PCOA, 170 and 120B have been filed against Suresh Chandrashekhar.
