AIADMK slams BJP over 'Vel Yatra' once again, calls it divisive

The rift between AIADMK and BJP seems to be widening. Now AIADMK's official mouthpiece Namadhu Amma has slammed BJP's Vel Yatra. In a column it says that "Tamil Nadu is a state of peace and harmony, none can divide people by conducting such divisive Yatra."

Tamil Nadu’s BJP chief L Murugan on November 8th held 'Vetri Val Yatra' even as the state government denied permission to hold the religious yatra in view of COVID-19. “State government is allowing other parties to take out processions and hold agitation. It's my constitutional right,” he said.

The religious yatra led to traffic congestion in Chennai. An ambulance was stuck in a traffic jam on Poonamallee High Road for half an hour.
