Agra-Gwalior Passenger Train Derails in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra; No Casualties Reported
Agra, Sept 23: A coach of Agra-Gwalior passenger train got derailed near Agra Cantt. railway station on Saturday afternoon. As per the latest reports, no injuries have been reported as of now. Earlier in the month, seven coaches of the Jabalpur-bound Shaktipunj Express had derailed in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. “The accident had occurred at around 6:25 am,” railway ministry spokesperson Anil Saxena had informed. He also claimed that no casualties or injuries were reported in the accident. This was the third incident of train derailment is the state in less than a month.
In August, 100 passengers were left wounded when 10 coaches of Kaifiyat Express train derailed after crashing into a dumper in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh. In a similar incident on August 19, 22 persons were killed and 156 others were injured when Utkal Express had derailed in Muzaffarnagar district of the state.

In the recent reshuffle of Council of Ministers, Narendra Modi had handed over the charge of Railway Ministry to Piyush Goyal. The former railway minister Suresh Prabhu was given the charge of Commerce and Industry Ministry.
