According to a report by DNA, the agenda of the meeting was to acknowledge and discuss the role of the Indian film industry in contributing to the economic growth of the nation. It is one of the largest in the world and has gained great global significance. The day to day issues faced by those who work in the industry were allegedly discussed and a course for redressal for the same was sought. A source was also quoted as saying that the prime minister had agreed to set up a special team to look into the matters discussed.
