I don’t know anyone who doesn’t get excited about discovering a good drugstore beauty product. Even if you’ve got the funds to splurge on pricey cosmetics, a budget-friendly buy that works as good if not better is worth buying in bulk. So when Teyana Taylor revealed that her flawless manicure costs just $8, I was ready to go shopping.
The “Fade” music video star, singer, and mom recently hosted the first ever pop-up beauty bar by Kiss in New York City. Rocking a chic pixie cut and T-shirt emblazoned with Janet Jackson’s topless Rolling Stone cover photo, Taylor’s mermaid green Gel Fantasy press-on nails were definitely a conversation starter.
While chatting it up with me, the 26-year-old declared, “I’ve got muffin tops on my nails!” The affordable artificial nail products, which come in matte, glossy, and printed finishes, is how she draws attention away from her insecurity.
Watch the video above to find out why Taylor is obsessed with press-on nails by Kiss — and the one beauty product that makes her feel glamorous without having to get dressed up.
