8 arrested with Rs. 4.41 crore in demonetised currency notes

At least eight people were arrested with Rs 4.41 crore in the scrapped currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 on Sunday in Hyderabad. All the accused had planned to replace their money with the new legal tender notes through a broker, but before the process could initiate they were held by the Hyderabad task force. Giving details, B Limba Reddy, DCP Task Force, said the accused had made arrangements to exchange their illegal amount but their operation was foiled. A case has been registered in their regard and interrogation is underway to ascertain the middleman.
