New Delhi, Nov 19 (PTI) The AAP government has addressed 67 per cent of the pollution-related complaints received on the 'Green Delhi' mobile application in the last three weeks, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said on Thursday.

Of the 6,963 complaints received on the application, 4,761 have been resolved, he said, adding that most of the complaints have come from North Delhi Municipal Corporation areas, he said.

The maximum number of complaints are related to dumping of garbage, burning of plastic and biomass, demolition waste etc, he said.

On October 29, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had launched the 'Green Delhi' mobile application using which citizens can bring pollution causing activities to the government's notice.

The complaints are being resolved through nodal officers of 21 departments who have been working in coordination with the 'Green War Room' set up at the Delhi Secretariat.

A 10-member team has been deployed at the 'war room' under senior scientists Mohan George and B L Chawla to monitor the levels of primary pollutants, measures taken to curb pollution and status of complaints received through the 'Green Delhi' mobile application.

Rai has also issued a letter to the heads of department concerned asking them to expedite steps to resolve the pending complaints. PTI GVS TDS TDS
