64th National Film Awards: Akshay Kumar wins Best Actor for 'Rustom', 'Neerja' wins Best Film

Actor Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor have won big at the 64th National Film Awards announced today at the National Media Centre in New Delhi. Bollywood's Khiladi Akshay bagged his first National Award in the 'Best Actor' category for 'Rustom, while hijack drama 'Neerja' grabbed Best Hindi Feature film award. 'Maskali girl' Sonam also got a special mention by the jury for her outstanding performance in Ram Madhvani's directorial. Best Actress went to Surabhi for Malayalam movie 'Minnaminungu. Amitabh Bachchan starrer PINK was announced the winner Best Film on Social Issues category. Total of 344 films were competing for the top spot, and the jury saw 89 movies of all those movies. The jury included eminent film director, producer and National Award winner, Priyadarshan, as the chairperson in Feature Films category. Here is the list of winners:
