6 new cases push Mizoram's COVID-19 tally to 3,096

Aizawl, Nov 9 (PTI) Mizoram's COVID-19 tally rose to 3,096 on Monday as six more people, including two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, tested positive for the infection, a health official said.

Three new cases were reported in Aizawl district, two in Kolasib and one in Mamit, he said.

All the fresh infections were detected during rapid antigen tests, the official said.

Three new patients have travel history, while the remaining three infections were detected during contact tracing, he said.

Mizoram now has 476 active coronavirus cases, while 2,618 people have recovered from the disease and two patients have succumbed to the infection so far, the official said.

The state has so far tested 1.23 lakh samples for COVID-19, including 170 on Sunday, he added. PTI COR ACD ACD
