At least five Pakistan soldiers were killed on Wednesday, 3 July, in an explosion near the Line of Control (LoC), the Army said.
The nature of incident that occurred in Chamb sector was being investigated, it said in a brief statement.
One soldier was injured in the blast. The army claimed the incident as “an evidence of state sponsored terrorism.”
“5 Pakistan Army soldiers embraced shahdat while one got injured," the Inter-Services Public Relations' (ISPR) press release stated, as quoted by Geo News. “Nature of blast being ascertained,” it further added.
“The incident is evident of state sponsored terrorism by India violating bilateral ceasefire agreement and the international rules,” the statement said.
Those killed were identified as Subedar Muhammad Sadiq, Sepoy Muhammamd Tayyab, Naik Sher Zaman, Sepoy Zohaib and Sepoy Ghulam Qasim.
