39 Indians killed by Islamic State in Iraq's Mosul: List of names of 27 deceased identified so far

On Tuesday, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj told the Rajya Sabha that 39 Indians who had gone missing in 2014, had been killed by the Islamic State.

She noted that their bodies had been spotted using deep penetration radar. The bodies were then exhumed from mass graves and their identities confirmed by DNA tests, she added.

Firstpost was able to access a list of 27 deceased who have been identified so far. Of these, 22 were from Punjab, three from Himachal Pradesh and two from Bihar.
