386 new COVID-19 cases in Karnataka, five deaths

Bengaluru, Feb 19 (PTI) Karnataka logged 386 new COVID-19 cases and five related fatalities, taking the total caseload to 9,47,246 and the toll to 12,287, the Health department said on Friday.

The day also saw 291 patients getting discharged after recovery.

The state also completed vaccination of more than six lakh beneficiaries till date, the department said in a bulletin.

Bengaluru Urban accounted for most number of the fresh cass at 209.

Cumulatively 9,47,246 COVID-19 positive cases have been confirmed in the state, which includes 12,287 deaths and 9,29,058 discharges, the department said out of 5,882 active cases, 5,757 patients are stable and in isolation at designated hospitals, while 125 are in Intensive Care Units.

Bengaluru Urban also accounted for the most number of deaths reported at four, while the other was from Kodagu.

Mysuru came second in number of cases with 34, Kalaburagi 23, Dakshina Kannada 20, Tumakuru 11, Belagavi 10, followed by others.

Bengaluru Urban district topped the list of positive cases, with a total of 4,03,236, followed by Mysuru 53,868 and Ballari 39,206.

Among discharges too, Bengaluru Urban was on top with 3,94,583, followed by Mysuru 52,682 and Ballari 38,587.
