Mumbai, Nov 10 (PTI) Maharashtra's COVID-19 case tally on Tuesday reached 17,26,926 as it recorded 3,791 fresh cases of the viral infection, a health official said.
The state also reported 46 fatalities during the day, taking its death toll to 44,435, he said.
A total of 10,769 patients were discharged from hospitals, taking the tally of recovered people to 15,88,091.
There are 92,461 active cases in the state now.
Mumbai city reported 535 positive cases during the day, which pushed its case count to 2,65,679, while its death toll rose to 10,484 with 19 new fatalities being reported.
The state has so far conducted 95,36,182 tests.
The Mumbai division, which consists of Mumbai city and the surrounding satellite towns, reported 1,101 new cases, raising the region's case count to 5,98,718.
A total of 18,123 people have died so far due to COVID-19 in Mumbai division, the official said.
The number of cases in the Pune division stood at 4,34,710 and death toll at 10,139, the official said.
Nashik division's cumulative case tally stood at 2,31,798 and death toll at 4,368, he said.
Kolhapur division has reported 1,10,462 cases and 3,860 deaths till now, while Aurangabad division's case tally stood at 64,754 and death count at 1,641.
Latur division has reported 71,182 cases until now and 2,158 fatalities.
Akola division has reported total 54,470 cases while 1,295 people have succumbed to the disease in the region.
Nagpur division has reported 1,58,575 infections and 3,698 fatalities so far, the official informed.
2,257 COVID-19 patients from other states have received treatment in Maharashtra, including 156 who died.
