3.5 kg of metal objects removed from man's stomach in Ahmedabad

A team of doctors removed 3.5 kg of metal objects from the stomach of a 28-year-old man. The operation took place at Civil Hospital in Gujarat's Ahmedabad. Patient is a specially-abled person. Objects such as coins, nut bolts, nails, spoons and earrings were recovered from patient's stomach. Doctor at Ahmedabad's Civil Hospital, Dr. Kalpesh Parmar said, "A patient with severe abdominal pain was referred for surgery. X-ray was done that suggested there were multiple foreign bodies in abdomen." He further added, "We operated him on 9 Aug. We found multiple foreign bodies in the stomach-coins, pins, spring, earrings, spark plugs and sharp pins. It was almost 3.5 kg of metal."
