2019 Ford Figo facelift: 5 important things you need to know about the updated hatchback
Ford recently introduced the 2019 Figo facelift in India. Launched at a starting price of Rs 5.15 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the all-new Ford Figo is now available in three variants -- Ambiente, Titanium and Titanium Blu.
The 2019 Ford Figo facelift gets seven colour options -- White Gold, Moondust Silver, Smoke Grey, Absolute Black, Deep Impact Blue, Ruby Red and Oxford White. There is a five-year or one lakh km warranty on the new Ford Figo. It will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10.
The all-new Figo facelift is the second update from Ford this year, following the launch of 2019 Endeavour last month. The company is pinning a lot of hopes on the 2019 Ford Figo facelift and expects it to make a name for itself in its segment. While Ford is claiming that the updated Figo comes with 1,200 new parts, I give below five important details that one needs to know about the fresh hatchback.
The 2019 Ford Figo facelift comes in with three engine options -- a 1.2-litre TiVCT petrol, a 1.5-litre TDCi diesel and a 1.5-litre petrol. The 1.2-litre petrol mill makes 96 PS and 120 Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre diesel motor delivers 100 PS and 215 Nm of torque. Both the engines get a five-speed manual transmission. The 1.5-litre petrol mill churns out 123 PS of power. It is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Ford claims mileage figures of 20.4 kmpl, 25.5 kmpl and 16.3 kmpl for the 1.2-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.5-litre petrol engines, respectively.

3. Exteriors and interiors
The 2019 Ford Figo facelift gets front and rear fog lamps, front grille surround, fog lamp bezel, alloy wheels, B pillar black applique and rear defogger on the outside. The new Ford Figo gets charcoal black interiors. Other features include Map pocket (driver and front passenger seat), parking brake lever tip (chrome), passenger vanity mirror, rear package tray, adjustable rear seat headrests and driver seat height adjustment. The Ford Figo Blu variant comes with 'Blu interior environment' as well.
The new Figo also gets a seven-inch touchscreen (capacitive) infotainment system and four speakers (two each at the front and rear).
4. Comfort and convenience
So far as comfort features in the 2019 Ford Figo facelift are concerned, the updated hatchback gets front dome lamp, welcome lamps, tilt steering, distance to empty, door ajar and low fuel warning, power windows (front + rear), auto door lock @ 15 kmph, electric boot release, boot lamp and steering wheel mounted audio controls.
The updated Ford Figo also comes with gear shift indicator, turn indicators on ORVMs, power adjustable and fold ORVMs, tachometer, push button start, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps and leather wrap steering wheels
5. Safety features
Ford has taken utmost care about the safety of passengers in the 2019 Figo facelift. There are features like driver and passenger airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), engine immobiliser, front three-point seat belts, rear seat belts (three points outer, lap middle), driver and passenger seat belt reminder, rear parking aid (visual/camera), remote keyless entry and perimeter alarm.
The new Ford Figo Titanium AT also gets ESP (Electronic Stability Program), TCS (Traction Control System) and HLA (Hill Launch Assist).
