20 AAP MLAs Disqualification: Yashwant Sinha Calls President’s Decision a ‘Tughlaqshahi’ Order

Apart from Sinha, BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha also backed Kejriwal-led AAP and said that the 'politics of vendetta' against Aam Aadmi Party will not last long.

New Delhi, Jan 22: Rebel Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yashwant Sinha on Sunday backed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over the disqualification of its 20 MLAs. Calling the president’s decision a ‘tughluqshahi’ order Sinha said that it is a complete miscarriage of natural justice.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Sinha posted,”President’s order disqualifying the 20 AAP MLAs is complete miscarriage of natural justice. No hearing, no waiting for High Court’s order. It is Tughluqshahi of the worst order.”

Apart from Sinha, BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha also backed Kejriwal-led AAP and said that  the ‘politics of vendetta’ against Aam Aadmi Party will not last long.

“Politics of vendetta or politics of vested interests just don’t last long. Don’t worry, be happy,”Sinha tweeted.

Both the leaders (Yashwant and Shatrughan Sinha), who were part of the Atal Behari Vajpayee Cabinet have often aired their displeasure against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government’s policies.

Earlier on Sunday, in a major setback to the AAP, President Ram Nath Kovind accepted the Election Commission’s recommendation to disqualify 20 MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party for holding offices of profit, a decision the party said showed constitutional authorities were behaving like “handmaidens of the central government”.
