Cairo, April 2 (IANS) At least 13 police and three civilians were wounded when a bomb exploded on Saturday near a police training centre in Egypt’s Tanta city, country’s Interior Ministry said.
The explosive device was placed on a motorcycle, Efe news service reported. Security forces have cordoned off the scene and begun combing the area.
Police stations and checkpoints in the Egyptian capital and other cities have been the target of attacks in recent years, many of which have been carried out by extremist factions.
