1,000 doctors, 25 thousand nursing staff to be appointed soon: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) May 18 (ANI): The Rajasthan Government will soon appoint one thousand doctors and 25 thousand nursing staff to ensure the proper treatment arrangement in wake of rapid spread of coronavirus infection in the villages.The decision was taken by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in a high level meeting to review the COVID-19 infection, lockdown and availability of resources in the state.The Chief Minister instructed that immediate services of 25 thousand nursing staff and one thousand doctors should be taken on temporary basis to ensure proper arrangement of COVID-19 treatment in community health centres (CHC) and primary health centres (PHC). Keeping in view the upcoming requirements, he also instructed to arrange ICU and ten beds of high flow oxygen as well as an infant intensive care unit in the CHC, developed as a COVID Consultation and COVID Care Center at the block level.CM Gehlot directed the officers to provide five oxygen concentrators at each PHC and 10 at CHC so that COVID patients can get oxygen facility locally.During the meeting the Chief Minister also emphasised to improve the health facilities in rural areas.
