NEW DELHI: Under fire for allegedly defaming Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal was slapped with a legal notice on Monday.
Kejriwal has been asked to tender an unconditional apology for levelling 'baseless allegations' and 'using foul language' against Dikshit.
Reacting to the noticed, an unfazed Kejriwal said that he will continue to do so until corrupt practices are done away with.
Kejriwal, who is protesting outside the BSES office in Delhi, said: "You can send me as many notices as possible. We are not scared of notices."
Kejriwal added that it was not he but her own actions that were defaming her.
"Yes, we are defaming her, actually no... It is her actions which are defaming her," he said.
"I would like to tell her (Dikshit) that 'we will be defaming you as long as you and your government keep working against the people. We are not scared of any legal notice'."
The notice was sent by to Kejriwal by Dikshit's political advisor Pawan Khera.
"The notice regarding legal action comes in the light of derogatory remarks by Shri Kejriwal, meant to maliciously defame the chief minister and thus all those working in close proximity with her," Pawan Khera said.
Kejriwal has been given two days to respond to legal notice for civil and criminal defamation, failing which the government will take the next legal step.
Kejriwal has been at loggerheads with the Delhi government over the tariff hike in the capital and alleged that there was a nexus between the government and the power discoms.
The notice said that the word 'dalal' was used in reference to the Delhi chief minister.
The notice also urged the activist to refrain from using foul language and asked Kejriwal to immediately withdraw all allegation made by him against Dikshit.
Cruiser motorcycles might not be very popular in India, but there is still a segment of buyers who prefer to buy these body style of bikes. While there is little option at the lower end of the segment, at high price brackets there are quite a few alternatives. Earlier this year, DSK Motowheels launched the Hyosung GV650 Aquila Pro, which offers quite a lot to the cruiser enthusiast. Priced at Rs. 5.46 lakhs (Mumbai), the GV650 is significant value.
