Bangalore: The Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) stewards have decided to hold the Invitational races, as scheduled, on March 3 and March 4. The decision was taken, on Monday, following a joint meeting between the BTC stewards and the race professionals.
Stewards were thinking of postponing the Turf Invitational races by a week but professionals assured the BTC authorities that despite the absence of a good number of syces, they would make sure that everything would be taken care of with the help of the available workforce.
Syces, who had runaway after the trouble last week, are yet to report back and horses are attended by riding boys and jamadars.
Stewards also decided to conduct Bangalore, races already scheduled for February 24 and 25, after race professionals assured them of all co-operation. Professionals feel that racing could be conducted without any trouble.
