Washington, Sept 20 (ANI): Automobile manufacturer Volkswagen has created a 30-second ad showing American people smiling, laughing and just generally acting happy.
Volkswagen ad apparently aims to give Americans a break from ongoing television debates over economy and political campaigns
The commercial shows people, including youngsters, babies, and senior citizens, of all different nationalities, laughing and smiling.
According to the New York Daily News, the spot has music, but no words.
VW has bought time to air the ad during the presidential debates, as well as other lighthearted election programmes, the report said.
At the end, a printed message appears on the screen, 'It's not the miles, it's how you live them. That's the power of German engineering.'
The commercial 'embodies the Volkswagen spirit of positivity through laughter,' marketing vice president Kevin Mayer told Ad Age.
The spot also invites viewers to send their own Volkswagen experience to a VW website. (ANI)
