The title of today's awaited release, the Sanjay Khanduri directed, Vivek Oberoi and Mallika Sherawat starrer, KISMET LOVE PAISA DILLI, abbreviated as KLPD, has been in the limelight right from the day of its announcement (for obvious reasons!!). To decipher the secret of KLPD, who better than the lead actor Vivek Oberoi and the talented director Sanjay Khanduri to enlighten us.The witty and handsome Vivek has a hilarious take.

The director of KLPD, Sanjay Khanduri, has a more detailed answer, "We knew from the inception that KLPD will create controversy, but it sums up the sequence of events in our film. First it's Kismet (Fate), followed by Love, then Paisa (money) and it all happens in Dilli (Delhi)."
Not willing to let him go off so easily we queried him further as to whether the title was due to the pairing of the handsome and talented Vivek and the ravishing Mallika, and Sanjay says, "Vivek and Mallika are firebrand, and so an equally volatile title was the call of the day. In fact the very day that we announced KLPD the distributors and the trade got excited."
In the end we asked Sanjay if KLPD would be the first in the series of film that would mark the comeback of the highly versatile Vivek Oberoi, and his response was, "Quite right. The character that Vivek essays in KLPD is very much like him in real life. In a way we are presenting a new Vivek. You can say that we re-launching him with this film."
Well, we are not surprised, rather hopeful that because of the hype and excitement that the promos and the title KLPD has generated (taking nothing way from the intrinsic merits) will surely translate in the film getting a good opening.
