London, July 7(ANI): Boxer Tyson Fury has revealed how at one stage he got hooked on to eating sweets while he was battling against bulimia.
Fury's weight touched around 147 kilograms (322 pounds) after his last fight against Martin Rogan as he satiated himself on sweets and junk food.
The unbeaten heavyweight contender went into depression, and lost interest in boxing and life.
Fury has managed to crawl out of this hole of despair and claims he is fully focused ahead of Saturday's clash with Vinny Maddalone in Clevedon's Hand Arena.
"I was in a patch when I didn't care about anything - boxing, marriage, life. I'd pull into a garage and buy a carrier bag full of sweets, eat them, throw up and start again," The Daily Mirror quoted Fury, as saying.
"If I kept on eating rubbish, I'd have been a diabetic or have heart problems. I have not been back there since I sorted myself out. I've knuckled down and got my diet right at last," he added.
The 6 feet 7 inches tall boxer has constantly fought depression, and last year he confessed he had considered killing himself by smashing his car into a wall because he felt so down. (ANI)
