Competition during the 23-day season was fierce and most professionals found it hard to score a double, leave alone a bigger haul. Stewards and stipendiary stewards deserve a big credit for their contributions, and so does the handicapper for a number of close finishes.
With less-fancied winners ruling the roost on the concluding day, the courageous performance of Two In One (Imran Chisty-up), the hot favourite, in the feature, the 1,400m Harry The Horse Cup, is worth mentioning. The Javed Khan-trained filly limped back home. However, she did not make her pain apparent until the winning-post.
