New Delhi, Oct. 25 -- A day after the eight-year-old son of a businessman, who was kidnapped from his west Delhi house on Sunday, was found in Uttar Pradesh, the Delhi police have arrested two persons in connection with the case. Though the police are yet to arrest the two prime accused -a maid and her alleged paramour, the police on Thursday claimed to have solved the kidnapping for ransom case.
The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs. 50 lakh from the victim's father, Ashish Grover, who runs a mobile shop in Janakpuri.
The arrested persons have been identified as Ravi, a native of Aligarh in UP and Veer Pal who hails from Bulandshahr in UP. While Ravi is a close friend of the alleged mastermind, Meenu Kumar alias Monu, Pal is Monu's relative.
Both assisted Monu, the alleged paramour of the maid, Babita, for earning quick and easy money, said police.
V Renganathan, additional CP (west), said the two were arrested following investigation into a missing complaint of Grover's son and his maid.
"Relatives of Babita residing in Ranhola area were interrogated. They revealed that Babita was in friendship with Monu who lived in Noida. Further investigation led to the arrest of the two persons. The boy was handed over to the parents last night," said Renganathan.
