We Try Out The Makeup Look That's Been Designed Especially For The London Olympics

What do you think of our digital intern's makeup? It's the actual makeup that the Max Factor have designed for the Games!

Max Factor has supplied the makeup of to the volunteers, torch and medal bearers and escorts before the event, so that they can each have this specially commissioned look. It was designed by makeup artist Caroline Barnes using colours that suit all skin tones and colours. The nude lips and healthy looking coral cheeks look natural and a plum smokey eye adds glamour. Plus the gold sparkle around the tear duct is inspired by the Olympic medals.

Max Factor showed us how to get the look this afternoon. Using Max Factor Lasting Performance foundation as a base before applying their Cream Colour Blush in Soft Copper across the top of the cheekbones. The blush was also used on the lips!

The plum smokey eye was created by colouring in the eyelid with a Smokey Eye Effect Twist pen before blending it out with Max Factor Trio Eyeshadow in Coco. The look was finished off with a touch of eyeliner and False Lash Mascara.

Our verdict? We're interested to see how the look translates on different skin tones, but we reckon everyone involved with the Olympics is going to look super glam tomorrow!
