    Trinamool complains to EC against money power in UP polls

    New Delhi, Feb 16 (IANS) The Trinamool Congress (TMC), which is contesting the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, Thursday complained to the Election Commission alleging that political parties, including its ally Congress party, were using muscle and money power to get votes in the ongoing elections.

    "We have approached the Election Commission and have complained to them on clear violation of the election model code of conduct by all political parties in UP," Trinamool Congress leader Sultan Ahmed told reporters here.

    He said that all parties -- Congress, Samajwadi Party, Bharatiya Janata Party and Bahujan Samaj Party -- are using money and muscle power to get votes.

    "TMC candidates are being lured by offering money and party candidates in Pilibhit district were threatened by police to withdraw their candidature. Our party is fighting on principles," he said.

    He claimed that 60 percent of booths in last three phases of UP elections were looted and all these booths have reported 98 percent polling.

    TMC is contesting over 200 seats in Uttar Pradesh.

    On the issue of Congress leader Beni Prasad Verma promising sub-quota for Muslims, Ahmed said: "The Congress leaders are trying to befool the country. No one will listen to their nonsense."

      What concern TMC have in UP elections? Are other parties not knowing what this people are talking? This is nothing but shear non sense. Just to get some lucrative ministry in the centre these people are raking the issue. Or are they slapping all other political parties for not approaching EC on this issue? Thought provoking idea.

      sp and bsp parties . Corruption is common in the state. Ec also told the same that money plays an important role in five states election
      also nearly 30 crore cash been recovered by the instruction.

      So the ec just head the tmc compalint and kept quiet . What is the action taken by ec after recovering crores from violation party candidates and their chiefs ???? why did the ec not debar such candidates ???so the congress is playing cash for vote game again after amar sing case . .last time the cash for vote scandle they found a scape goat amar singh and he went to jail got jokingly sick and the released and is contesing election again on behalf of congress once again . In this cunning cash for issue the congress blamed bjp and the people of india fooled by these political parties . as said the communal and religion games are openly made .active in the up elections this is not a fair election and cannot be accepted . is the ec playing on congress instructions ??

      it is clear the ec is acting on congress instructions as it has not taken any action on kurshid for communal remarks and ans truned deff on cash for vote actions in the up . indian elections are not democratic anymore . we need to change the complete system of elections and this multiple party system . . People must open their eyes .and start thinking . this is the future of
      our india.

But can we leave the traitor parties free to do what they like to us and our country ?? see the open fraud and false promises to the people just for votes and power . The question of true public service is burried altogether . The meaning of a political party is not for true public service but money making business . What will happen to India in the hands of illicit leaders like this . Already all people are suffering with high cost of living . The 2G scam money, where has it gone ?? when is it going to come out , who is hiding it ?? no talk about that at all . Simply that Raja is sent to jail and the joke is going on and on .       What is new in this. The congress Govt in centre is ina no mood for electoral reforms. Manmohan singh says in Parliament that this is the democracy we cherish.
      These politicians are making fool of the general population of this country using these defective electoral process.This is High time the EC takes bold steps regarding electoral reforms.
      All illiterate people come to power using money and muscle power ,managing to get enough illiterate and ignorant votes ,and these jokers make laws for the country.This is the democracy we cherish!!!

      EC has totally failing in every shere for conducting free and fair in almost five states. No political parties dare to abide by code of conduct. EC is looking to PM office for action. File FIR against person violating code of conduct. CEC should resigned immediately in protest for not taking action by PMO against complaint persons.
