    Sudip slams 214 for Kalighat

    Calcutta: BNR Recreation Club beat Calcutta Port Trust by seven wickets in a two-day CAB first-division league match, on Saturday. Gourav Kumar took four for 32 and scored 68 runs to ensure the victory.

    In another match, Kalighat's Sudip Chatterjee amassed 214 to help his team post 432/7, against Monoharpukur Milan Samity.

    Meanwhile, an Ambar Roy sub-junior tournament match, between Pal and Chatterjee team and Bhadrakali CCC, being held at the Surya Sen ground in Khardah, was abandoned under controversial circumstances. One of the umpires deemed the ground unfit for the match.
