Mumbai, Nov. 28 -- Salman Khan's last five releases - Wanted (2009), Dabangg (2010), Bodyguard (2011), Ready (2011) and Ek Tha Tiger - have all crossed the Rs. 100 cr mark at the box-office, making him the champion of the much-coveted club. But steady competition is coming his way. Closing in on Salman is now Ajay Devgn.
Ajay's last four films - Golmaal 3 (2010), Singham (2011), Bol Bachchan and the recently-released Son Of Sardaar (SOS) - have all surpassed the Rs100 cr mark at the box-office as well. If trade and industry sources are to be believed, Ajay is fast becoming the most sought-after actor in Bollywood.
An informer says, "The film is also doing well in regions the makers didn't expect it to perform in. Late director Yash Chopra's Jab Tak Hai Jaan had released in 500 screens more than what SOS launched with initially. This is why it took the film some time to hit the mark, otherwise going by the current response, it would have happened much earlier. He is an unexpected entrant into the Rs. 100 cr club."
Having released this Diwali, there was a lot of buzz about how SOS would fare as it was up against the Shah Rukh Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer. But interestingly, it went ahead and hit the R100 cr mark at the box-office faster than any other film starring Ajay has, in the past.
Producer of SOS, NR Pachisia says, "In a 16-day period, SOS has also crossed the lifetime regional collections of all of Ajay's films. This gives us a whole new reason to celebrate. We're happy with the response."

Ajay Devgn to celebrate success of Son Of Sardaar
Ajay Devgn is a happy man. The latest news is that the box-office profit of Son Of Sardaar (SOS) is at par with that of Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ). And now, the actor plans to throw a party to celebrate this news.
A source close to the actor says, "Ajay is happy with the way the film is faring. After the theatres reopened on Monday, it has continued to do steady business."
According to the source, what the actor is more thrilled about is the fact that the film has done well irrespective of the number of screens dedicated to it. "SOS has 500 theatres less than JTHJ has," the source tells us. READ ON

Going by early box office reports, the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ) and actor-producer Ajay Devgn's action flick, Son of Sardaar (SOS), are going neck and neck.
