London, September 27 (ANI): Russell Brand, who split from his wife Katy Perry almost nine months back, has revealed the actual reason for their divorce, referring each other as different as a tennis pro and a crystal meth addict.
The 37-year-old comedian spoke openly about the couple's decision to call it quits on their 14-month marriage, last December, in the Australian news show '60 Minutes.'
"Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it don't, but if you sort of sense there's an incompatibility, then in any relationship regardless of the status of the individual, it kind of is best to go separate ways," the Daily Mail quoted him, as saying.
The 'Rock Of Ages' star said that for the best chance of long-term compatibility, people should date only those people with similar interests.
"I think if you're someone who's really into mountain biking, it would be good to go out with someone else who's into mountain biking, and if you're really into Eastern mysticism, go out with someone else who into Eastern mysticism," he said.
"I think if you're a devoted tennis professional and you get married to a crystal meth addict, you might have trouble... I've been in a lot of trouble," he added. (ANI)
