Washington, Oct. 10 (ANI): Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has a two-point lead over President Barack Obama nationally, with less than a month before Election Day.
According to the Gallup Poll, nearly 49 percent Americans now prefer Romney as compared to 47 percent who support Obama.
Obama, however, performs better among registered voters, beating Romney 49 percent to 46 percent.
According to Politico, the poll follows on the heels of the Pew survey that showed Romney with a 49 percent to 45 percent advantage among registered voters.
It points to a tightening race in the aftermath of Obama's widely panned debate performance, and ups the ante on the next two encounters between the candidates, the report added. (ANI)
