Renault to officially launch Scala on September 7

Renault ScalaThe French auto maker Renault India will officially launch its new sedan Scala on September 7 in New Delhi. It can be recalled that with the Scala, Renault India is trying to keep their intentions of launching five cars in 15 months. Its previous launch, a compact SUV Duster is already garnered some impressive reviews and numbers.

Renault’s MD in India, Marc Nassif will be present at the launch and the pricing, though not yet announced, is expected to be around Rs 6 to 8 lakh region giving tough competition to the Honda City, Skoda rapid and its own sibling Nissan Sunny.

Renault is reportedly offering the Scala in both diesel and petrol variants – the ubiquitous 1461cc K9K diesel developing 86PS of power and 200Nm of torque as well as the 1498cc XH2 petrol developing 99PS and 134Nm.
