Renault launches Scala sedan

New Delhi, Sep 7 (IANS) French automobile major Renault Friday launched its Scala sedan priced between Rs.6.99 and Rs.9.57 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

"With the launch of the premium sedan Scala, Renault India is now present across segments of the Indian car market with products which meet our customer expectations and aspirations," said Marc Nassif, managing director, Renault India.

"Scala is a product which offers the best in class comfort, elegance and premium luxury at an affordable price. This will further enhance Renault's presence in the country," Nassif added.

The petrol variant of the sedan is priced between Rs.6.99 and 7.85 lakh, while the diesel powered version is priced between Rs.8.69 and Rs.9.57 lakh.

The sedan is powered by a 1.5 K9K dCi diesel engine which can deliver a maximum power of 86 ps at the rate of 3,750 rotation per minute. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission with a fuel efficiency of 21.64 km per litre.

The sedan comes with features like leather upholstery, steering mounted audio controls, automatic climate control, follow me headlights, multifunctional smart key, electrically adjustable and foldable outside rear view mirrors.
