Raman is injured

Calcutta: Bengal coach Woorkeri Raman met with a freak accident on Saturday when the index finger of his right hand suffered a deep cut, during the team's practice, at the indoor training facility of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB).

Raman accidentally put his hand in a pedestal fan during the morning practice and that resulted in the injury. He was immediately rushed to a private nursing home. Later in the day, he was shifted to another hospital.

According to the medical report, apart from the cut, the index finger also suffered a fracture. Raman underwent a minor surgery.
