Security stepped up at Sabarimala temple

Sabarimala (Ker), May 14 (PTI) Security has been stepped at the Lord Ayyappa temple here in the wake of the Jaipur blasts with more police and bomb disposal squad personnel being rushed to the hill shrine. More policemen and bomb disposal squad personnel have been rushed to the shrine from the armed reserve camp at the district headquarters of Pathanamthitta as the temple opened for the monthly pujas this evening, police said.

Security personnel have been deployed in and around the temple complex at Sanndihanam (sanctum sanctorum) and also the foothills of Pampa where pilgrims converge before trekking up the hills. PTI.
